Default New Springs Advice

Ok were about to turbo my buddy's tc. He has an 07 tc. He wants coilovers but doesnt plan on running his car on track or having large wheels. I recommended to him to change out his trd's though. TRDS tend to lift the front of the car an extreme amount on heavy takeoff and were looking for a set for his car that are a little stiffer. TRD's make the front end too uncontrollable and i was wondering if there is a coilover alternative. i run megans myself, but only for the big wheels. keeps me from slamming on my 20's. all opinions are welcome, were just trying to get some good information. what do the rest of you run and what are your opinions on the lifting effect.

Check out the suspension and handling thread. Your best bet for performance and comfort would be hotchkis. But do some research on the other thread.

I've done a lot of research on this, and since my future setup will be to drag it, I went with Ksport springs. I read a lot about all the other springs, but ksport offers an aggressive front drop 2", and a 1.75" drop in back to give it a more aggressive downward front end look. That is the only way I know of to reduce lift on the front end....lower it more versus that of the backend.

Of course there are other things in addition to the springs, but when it comes to springs, that is what I look at.

I woudl think stiffer springs and shock, with Koni being the only chioce out there. But if your going to put that kinda of money down, might as well spend a couple extra bills and get coilovers.

Or you can do Like me and get the hotchkis springs and Koni's just up front. that ends up being about $500
