Official Turbo FAQ with Electrical Guide
OK...I'm planning on adjusting my fuel maps this weekend and want to know what AFR everyone thinks I should be at during Partial throttle and at WOT.
I was thinking of about 11.5 at WOT, but should I have it be at 11.5 throught the entire boost range? Or should I have it go from 14.7 out of boost, to 12.5 at partial throttle in boost and then gradually go down to 11.5 when I peak?

I'm assuming he may be impressed by the original write-up I did a while back. I'll have more down the road but I need to keep working on some projects and the new site for now.
Mr. Meaty...
I would go to about 12.8-13 for 2psi and less, and slowly taper to 11.5 as you approach 7-8psi. That would be the perfect setup in my opinion. The tC makes great power when the fuel is there. It also helps keep the temps down (as long as you don't run pig rich).

Hello all,
I've been lurking around the FI forum recently as I'm strongly considering getting some boost this year. I've been reading a lot of stuff trying to get a good understanding of turbos in general (I'm pretty noobish) and all the specifics of adding turbo to the tC.
Anyway, one of the first things I read was this FAQ and I certainly learned quite a bit from it. (Thanks Joe!) However as I've been reading additional info I've realized that there are some things in this FAQ that are out of date in regards to electronics. There is no mention of the AEM F/IC, a couple of references to the "upcoming" Dezod EMS, and it's stated that the only way to tune partial throttle is to get the AEM standalone (which I understand the F/IC can also do).
I'm not in any way trying to knock the FAQ or diminish all the great work that Dezod does for for Scion owners. I just wanted to point out that the FAQ probably needs a few quick edits and a paragraph or so about the F/IC to be current.
Then it will need to re-stickied. lol

I guess I will have to make some updates then.
It's funny houw most of the updates are due to new parts Paul and I have come out with haha. Thanks for reading the whole post and for the kind words! I'll update it today or tomorrow.

Thanks, Joe! I was hopeing to hear from you as we have not seen much of you on the boards lateley.
Paul said about the same thing when I asked this in the "F/IC Not working" thread which has now turned into a "Send Paul to Vegas for Tuning" thread!

hey i have a question about greddy pressure sensor.. im planning to put mine on the car already but do i need a different tune for it to work properly or it should work with my current map but just tells the emanage to read MAP instead of MAF? or is this thing only used in tuning?
You will be tuning the unit again from the beginning if you want to utilize the MAP sensor. I would use the injector control map rather than the MAF map. Under the injector map, you can choose to tune using the MAP sensor by clicking on the drop down box at the top. Make sure you set a good range for your min and max boost values on the left column. That will allow you to better dial in the tune you need. Hope that helps!
So say im running a Ptunning Spec SS turbocharger, or want to be running it so to say.
I want eletrical gauges, but i dont want them on the dash in the way, and i want three of them, I am thinking Boost Gauge, A/F Gauge and EGT Guage, but how can I keep those 3 gauges, and also monitor my Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Fuel Pressure without having those gauges? I am assuming possible through a touch screen gauge?? Is this possible, well anyway please help and if I am all ____ed up tell me lol. Thanks

you just have to find a gauge that does a lot of that function.. like this http://www.zeitronix.com/ or plx gauges..
all you need is to be creative and customize you mounting.. if you dont want it on your dash then go with A-pillar pod, or on you headunit location and in your cubby hole..

I was thinking mounting it to the doorway on the interior driver side, you know what I am talking about?
Oh buddy I have a question, is there a touch screen cd player that I can wire gauges to and check out the stuff in it?
And I think Im not gonna change it to manual, thats 3gs of money wasted, not counting the 1,500 I payed to go auto. Damn if only i was not in a rush to get a car.

i think what you are referring to is the A-Pillar, like i mentioned.. as for the touchscreen headunit, yeah but you would need to do some wiring and know what you are doing.. no plug and play right there.. seems like you to do a lot of research, got start with something simple then advance
Yes thats what I am thinking, attaching 3 eletrical gauges to the A pillar and through the interior, but also I want to see if i can ghetto rig some of the wires to a touch screen in the dash. The tC holds a 7" screen right?
