Default pollup's ZPI Stage 1 - Pics and Video Dyno -

pollup asked me to post these pics and the video of the dyno run for him. I'll let him discuss details since he installed it...and an excellent job at that.

248 whp and 248 trq on stock exhaust and TRD axle back. He has an excellent AFR tune - very safe.

Looks good. Is this a conservitive custom tune and not the 300 hp that was advertised on their site?

Now that's what I like to see....HP with the TQ to match, and not 248hp with 180ftlbs of TQ like a Honda motor. Now all you have to do is change all of your couplers to Red, and you would be set.

It is about time someone posted a vid. We have been overdue for a vid.

One question, Are you experiencing any stalling issues with the atmospheric BOV?

Do all ZPI kits come unclocked like that? Perhaps there's a few hp locked up in that J bend coupler.

ok to answer the questions
the stinger battery is equilevelant to an optima battery, the only difference is the cold cranking amps are a little lower. not an issue with a small engine such as this one. for the stereo thats in there it meets its needs. there is 2 t1 rockford 12's ported run by a bd1500 with a rockford 50 farad cap. that battery and the cap is all i need. plus with stinger, the battery is half the size of stock. need the extra room for distribution blocks and fuse holders. dont pay attention to that side of my car, those terminals will be gone very soon. all brand new wiring and terminals should be done by the end of this weekend, depending on when i can make time.

the mustang that was drooling over the power had an 05 gt with a few mods done and he dynoed 190 whp with around 315 tq. he was a little upset that the tc was that impressive.

this is a conservative custom tune. im not a racer but i do drive fast. its still boosting 10psi, but at a very safe a/f ratio. as far as the 300 hp thats advertised, sciondad informed me that you have to have their full exhaust. they had their full exhaust on the 300hp tc they dynoed. believe me, 248 is more then enough.

stalling. at first yes i had alot of problem. even though the kit is pretuned, you really need to tune it to your car. now if i drive normal and go to stop and throw it in neutral, no problem. but if im sitting at idle and i tap the gas, it will drop to 500 rpm and sputter a little. only because its running real rich. the performance shop recommends getting a recirc/atmos bov but i really like the one i have, unbelieveably loud.

i actually have 3 videos, just having a problem sending the others to sciondad for some reason. the first one is the most impressive, but its the longest. they ran it in third gear to about 3000 rpms, and had it steady at that, then once they punched it, holy hell it was impressive. this is my first turbo car, and i dont like them hitting redline. made me extremely nervous..

the wastegate is going to open up. its suppose to, your only gonna get 10psi of boost. if you plug the wastegate, you will boost until your motor blows. the 10psi regulates the pressure.

not understanding the unclocked question. this kit was on zens car prior to me getting it, so it was already clocked. but as far as i know it comes unclocked.

as far as the red couplers, there are many little bugs i need to work out prior to changing the couplers. i dont think im going to leave the read though. they are really and offset for the bcp.. blue looks better imo.

if anyone has any questions feel free to ask..
I gotta put this up here though. Sciondad has helped me out a tremendous amount during my install. Talking to me on the phone and letting me know what to expect and stuff like that. so for those of you who this will be your first turbo car, you will like it, i do

oh and by the way, i was 1 of the 17 people here

lol last night i went to talk to a few buddies of mine, where the street racers meet up and 20 police cars rolled in on us and set up a check station. started checking blinkers, under hoods, trunks, tint.. too funny.. i got a tint ticket .. i asked the cop if she was really gonna check my blinkers, she said she had too. i was like this is an 06 if i have a blinker out im gonna be ____ed.. either way a few cars got impounded for having unauthorized equipment, and the rest left with stupid tickets. man im glad we have all these police to come sit around a parking lot for 3 hours instead of busting drunk drivers early in the morning.
i can recall 1 year ago i use to live in norfolk, va and there was a guy shooting his gun in the trashcan outside the house. i called the cops ( i didnt want a stray bullet catching my car) and the cops never showed up. now i know why. they were setting up those parking lot checkpoints probably. moral of the story is, catch the racers, leave the congrigators alone. 3 hours and they wrote 17 tickets that will generate a revenue of about 1700. amazing

First night out and got a greeting.

pollup - "No ma'am, I'm not a racer...really. I made a wrong turn and seen all these cool cars."

Officer -"Well young man, let me check under the hood"

pollup - "Umm, yeah ok, well, my hood latch is broke"

Officer - "looks like a new car and you hood latch is broke?"

pollup - "Crazy coincidence, huh?"

im not a racer sciondad. my buddies went out there and i went to meet up with them.. i honestly dont race and ive only had had my car working properly since 7:30 pm last night so i still dont have a feel for it. you dont just jump in a corvette and mash the gas now do ya .. but for the record , and anyone local can attest to this, you wont see me lined up with another car.. bad things happen in the local area here to street racers.
