he speaks the truth. they are trying to pass laws where if your caught street racing. they impiund your car with a min $2000 fine.
Oh, I believe him. I've spoke with him many times and he is a very responsible guy.

His tune is a very conservative tune. Actually running richer than the stock AFR. He could easily add another 40 whp with an aggressive tune and full exhaust.

I saw pollups turbo last night. its nice and the BOV is really loud. it hurt atually when he revved it up. This was at work though. As a future Virginia Beach Police Officer, I cant be seen up at those gatherings. I myself have the Supercharger so i like to drive fast too.

But john you should get your car looked at asap. When you took off it sounded real bad. Your exhaust leak made your car sound horrible. The ticking noise wasnt so great either. Jared was saying you may have detonation, but e wasnt too sure. You know he knows alot about Turbos so. Just given you advice and outside info that someting is wrong with your car.

Its a sweet setup and you have me beat for sure, but bro you got to get it fixed asap. Could be trouble. I hope i am wrong but if i am right, detonation, is the last thing you want.

I'm presuming you seen it before his tune. I don't know. I would also presume the shop that tuned it would have noticed detonation. It's not something you can really miss on a dyno. They also did some work fixing the exhaust leaks for him.

I don't know what the ticking noise is in the turbo. He said he looked at the turbines and they are clean, no housing damage. Oil is flowing...he found that out . There is not play in the shaft either. I would try to see if someone can find out where that is.

IMO, trust the conservative tune, recheck all connections after driving for a while. Keep an eye on your boost gauge and get the other gauges installed for peace of mind (AFR and oil pressure) and enjoy your ride. Oh yeah, copper wastegate gaskets all around.

i saw it after is tune. Cuz he told me his numbers 248 hp and tq and then he came up and showed me. When he left i told him to gun it alittle so i could hear it and when he took off it sounded horrible. sounded like there was a huge rattle of metel. not the turbo itself but had to be with the exhaust. dont know for sure, but all i can tell you is that it wasnt normal thats for sure, and if it is...i'm glad i dont have the turbo. cuz it sounded like crap.

isnt it illegal for the cops to check under your hood, when you give them no reason to do so?

my 2 cents, il rather cooperate rather than give them more reason that im hiding something. il rather get a ticket than get my car towed away.

i dont know how it is where u guys are from. But in VA, Officers must have probable cause to search your vehicle. Warrants arent needing because the vehicle can be moved therefore evidence can be moved. Reasonable suspicion is all they need to pull u over according to Carroll vs. U.S.

Probably cause would be street racing. Not like they were randomly pulled over.

as far as detonation, it wasnt. the exhaust leak? yes i still have one and i believe i have located it. its at the connection where the downpipe hits the s pipe. gonna probably have big als work a little magic there. when i took off i didnt hit the boost. i had pressure building up, but i was still in vacuum. the noise you heard was the blow off valve puttering. if there isnt alot of pressure built up, it will putter off instead of an aggressive blow. if you heard a loud air noise its probably the air flowing through the charge pipe because its a world louder then the bov. but the exhaust leak is the main thing i need to take a look at. im running richer then the tune the emanage comes with so i should be good. im between 11.8 to 12.5 so its not running lean at all. the wastegate dump tube also had to be remade so im not sure how that really sounds, i havnt been on it that hard. also if i was detonating my car definitely would have blew up on the dyno. that part made me really nervous, what a horrible sounds when they gun it to rev limit. but the 3 techs standing around when they were gunning it said it sounded good so im comfortable with that

If your BOV is fluttering then you need to adjust it

there should be a screw on top of the BOV itself, I dont have any experience with the Tial but every other BOV i have dealt with is adjusted by a screw

well i checked the downpipe s pipe connection and it seems fine. so i pulled the turbo apart. everything checked out ok there, i put it together and free spun it. as my vehicle gets warmed up the ticking ceases most of the way. my next guess is the main manifold gasket. is it right for the factory gasket to have 2 flimsy pieces of metal as gaskets? i didnt change that gasket out and i think its whats causing the problem. i think the ticking noise is resonating into the turbo because there is nothing inside that turbo taht could be causing it, its spotless. if anyone has ideas feel free to shoot them my way.

Yeah, it sounds like he still has an exhaust leak somewhere. Check the manifold nuts...be careful not to over torque them and snap them off. Look and see if you can see any exhaust marks on the engine block anywhere. It will be black soot.
