They are 2 different kits accomplishing the same thing at lower power levels. For example, our S1 is an entry level kit designed to get your foot into the door and make power to 300-325whp with quality and value in mind.

The S2 is a step up to the S1 with a standalone ECU and a slightly larger turbo. It's the S1 with an ECU and turbo upgrade. This offers you and your tuner a whole different bag of tricks despite the fact of the rest of the kit being virtually the same. With a standalone, you can run boost by vehicle speed (with purchase of boost solenoid), 2 step launch control, full fuel and ignition control, VVT control and plenty of other good things. This is the closest to the DG Spec kit we offer which was run on the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. (the only real difference was a BB turbo). Video shown here from NBC Sport network:

Few others of that S2 in action:

If you are very hard up on going big with the car (450whp+ & $10K later) then you should consider our Alpha series components which would be a closer comparison to the PT kit. Otherwise, our S1 or S2 to the PT kit is apples to oranges. The kits where designed with different intentions and different goals.

In all, every kit has their pros and cons without a doubt. No item in this universe is perfect. Anyone whom tells you that is a flat out liar. I think you need to be honest with yourself and figure out where you want to fall power wise, then go from there. The price is just the entry price to the amusement park, but what ride(s) you enjoy if any are all after the fact. In other words, you will get boosted well with either their kit or ours. All are excellent. You are in excellent hands for sure regardless of kit chosen, however if you are going to be content with power levels of 300-350whp with minimal-to-no additional mods done to the engine and fuel system, then I feel the choice is clear. Again, you are the controller of your destiny. It's your money, your car, your mods etc. Pick a poison.

I don't want to respond or clutter their thread with stuff, if you have further questions for me about our kit(s), then make another thread, take it to PM or email me directly paul@dezod.com. Have a good day.

I see ptuning still has a commanding lead over the other companies...
