Impressive. Where did you get your pulley from? I am looking into getting one.

230whp, not an educated guess either. Answer is based on what my boy put down with his TRD S/C and practically similar mods Minus the S-pipe, and he is running the ZPI 9 PSI pulley. So with an S-pipe, and a .5 more PSI I think it would put down like 240whp.

I know someone running a bosch sport 110, in fact I used to run one. It held the boost for his ZPI 9psi pulley for a while but for the past few months it's only holding 7psi according to his boost gage. Can't say it ever fell off for me but I would look into the forged 007. It's been a while since I've heard that name around here. There's no point in spooling the blower up more if it's not getting to the engine.

Is it worth putting a lighter pulley on a non S/C'd tC?

YES Crank pulley is one of those "Best Bang for the buck" type mods.

LOL...Brake boost away.. 318_tC is running the ZPI pulley on his turbo tC, so you might want to PM him for feedback. I have not experienced one on our car yet, but I have witnessed one being installed on a dyno and tested on a N/A'ed tC (yamahab16's) and he gained something like 11whp and 18ftlbs. Said to have significant acceleration differences in 1st-top of 3rd gear. I don't know about the NST pulleys as No one ever did any #'s on them, and always recommend them because their "customer service" is good (which in my book holds less merit than giving feedback on the actual product itself).

if you get a crank pulley (20% underdrive) wont that reduce boost though?

do they make overdrive crank pulleys so we can up the boost on the s/c without opening the tamper proof cap?

I can't comment on that, as ZPI's crank pulley is not Underdriven. It's a light weight crank pulley, the same size as stock.

nst makes an underdrive one though... and im pretty sure that it will lower boost with an s/c

Possible, don't know. But thank god I don't have a S/C huh...

230-240whp and 230ish wtq for a stock 350Z. 230whp on the S/C is not enough to outrun a 350Z, because the S/C doesn't have enough tQ. My boy put down 230whp, but 196ftlbs of tq. He definitely can keep up with my stock 350Z in his S/C tC, but only up till about 100mph if we do it from a 30 roll. From a Dig RWD > FWD, and from anything other than a 30 roll, I'll start pulling away. The top end on the 350Z is where it's at.

I wasn't expecting to beat a Z. Just keep up. It think that would surprise a few people. I am going to stop at s/c, 9.5 pulley, I/H/E. No need for more than that. I am hoping that will put me where I want to be

You should be able to keep up just fine (granted you can drive good). If the Z guy forgets to turn off the VDC....then you REALLY would keep up. Damn thing retards the engine, and does not allow it to spin as fast as it can, so I would bet a Z with the VDC left on would run a high 14 sec. in the 1/4 mile.....PRETTY slow for a $30k dollar vehicle.

With the VDC button pressed (not entirely disabled though), you can break a high 13 in a stock Z, but RWD > FWD so, don't expect a 13 out of the S/C unless your running slicks. Look for some Drifting vids from me soon. I've been practicing...

I will soon be getting the TRD Supercharger, but I have a question regarding the pulleys. I have the full NST pulley set on my tC right now can the S/C still be placed on the car?

not by the dealer (maybe they'll do it if you give them the right belt, but you wont have a warrantee....

also, the nst crank pulley will lower your boost alot, so its actually a performance DECREASING mod once you get an s/c... how ironic, lol

so it would be better if i go back to my stock crank pulley ? even with the NST 9.5psi pulley?
