oh... also need to mention that I am currently reviewing some of my material on bernoulli's principle... since it is the crux of my reasoning in support of the idea that heat is not the turbo's primary driving force. Ill be posting tomorrow or friday. got calcs to run lol

*EDIT* make that sometime this weekend lol... real life wins again

I've been thinking with this setup, when complete of course, would it be possible to setup another turbo in the engine bay?? =D lol cause that would be pretty sick lol xD 2x turbo 2x the power lol. And of course it would act a little different then a twin turbo engine lol.

twin turbos are typically a crutch for a porly designed turbo setup on the street, especially on a 4 cyl. one well designed turbo works fine until you hit 25psi

pretty much. I guess you could design it to wear you could do a twing set up, It would require some work but could happen. I dont think it would be worth it or the money put into it. You can just put a bigger turbo on for a lot less and get the power.

The car will be back today from the Fabrication shop. So we will be posting pics up soon of the completed kit!!!

hey guys... sorry I havent been able to post anything on my research of bernoulli's principle yet - haven't had alot of time to do it. this is basically something I just thought up at 5am today, and had to put it out there... late night brainstorming... isn't it fun?

A thought came to me on another potential advantage the aft-mounted turbo might have over traditional setups on the tc. If I am even remotely correct in my thinking, the aft turbo will likely have next to no need for additional tuning unless pushing boost well beyond 7lbs (much like the zpi stage 0 and treadstone kits) with the added benefit of being safe with no tuning even under partial boost conditions - no black boxes needed at all. I thought of this once I realized that one reason for the ECU going lean under partial boost might be that in a traditional setup, the header, 1st Cat and 1st O2 sensor are all replaced by the turbo manifold, with a single wideband O2 sensor replacing the 2nd stock O2 (correct me if I am mistaken here - I am not completely familiar at present with how the tc exhaust system is altered by a typical turbo install - this amounts to an educated guess). The aft mounted turbo leaves all of the stock plumbing in the exhaust system intact - the main reason why STS gets CARB certification fairly easily - so, with just changing both O2's out for 2 widebands, both the CEL and partial boost tuning issues might be resolved, at least for those who don't want to be bothered with further engine management.

am I on to something here?

[EDIT] OK... I was a sleep-deprived idiot above. Just finished reading a thread on the actual setup of the o2 sensors... just had to discover that the 2nd o2 sensor is a narrowband, while the 1st one is a wideband. so much for my idea lol [/edit]

This is almost the same exact set up as the STS Universal Turbo Kit.

I'm glad someone is finally making one pre-fabbed for the tC.

Hopefully your prices can beat theirs out of the water.
