Default Supercharger Rebuild DIY - Part 1 (Shaft Seal and 1 impeller

This little DIY is going to cover my journey from initially changing out my shaft seal to having to change an impeller bearing aswell as some other huge bearing. When I get the impeller bearing ill post up pictures of the part number. Its a 17x35x10 bearing though.

When I wrote this guide I already had the blower out of the car so just bear with it. I took pictures of what needs to be disconnected and unscrewed.

Tools Required:
8mm Wrench to take blower off mounting brackets
13mm 12 pt socket
HondaBond (Best stuff ever)
Hammer
Screwdriver
Rags
I think 14mm wrench to get off oil feed lines

Step 1: Remove the 3 Allen bolts that thread from the shaft to the supercharger. Also dont forget to remove the oil feed line and the oil return line aswell as all the hoses and tubes connected to the blower.

Step 2: Remove the 3 8mm Bolts underneath the charger that hold it to its bracket.

Step 3: Remove the 13mm 12pt bolt. This is what caused me all the problems with the bearings, not removing this first. It took a 550ft lbs Impact gun to bust this bolt free.

Step 4: After the bolt comes out you can slide out this black thing. Dont lose its little square key though.

Step 5: Loosen and remove all the little bolts surrounding the supercharger. I have them loosened in this pictures. If you dont seem them here loosened dont take them out!!

Step 6: If you look in you can see the seal. Seperate the 2 halfs of the compressor. Be very very careful that you dont put ANY stress on the bearings that are pressed in. After you should be stuck with 2 pieces of compressor, one side filled with gears, the other filled with 2 bearings and a seal. Do what ever it takes to get the seal out. Then with you new seal in hand run a nice ring of honda bond around the outside of it and press it into where the old seal was.

This is what you should be left with. There should be a bearing though where the little 20 is written. (Thats where mine broke from)

Rest of the pictures are just of the inside of the blower. To reinstall do the reverse of the take apart sequence.

I ended up getting the abec 7's, they are speed rated to 58,000 rpm. I figure though, this car isnt making near the 22 pounds of boost its capable of so its not going to be spinning near that fast. Ill be good up till about 12 psi or so.

That should be more than 12 psi if the max speed is 65,000 rpm and they are 58,000 it should be around 14 psi.
How was pressing off the bearings, pita ? are you doing the shaft bearings also ? just so you know all the shaft bearings are skf 6205 c3 bearings ( 4 Total ). The ones inside the compressor are open cage make sure they are not packed with grease and if they are you need to clean them completely you do not want any grease inside the compressor.

Well as it turns out if your going to be running 9.5 pounds of boost you will need 30875 RPM @ 9.5psi speed rated bearing seeing as for every pound of boost the blower is rotating at 3250RPM. I didnt change all the bearings just the impeller shaft one and 1 of the skf 6205's
