TRD supercharger owners, how happy are you with it?
i cant wait for the 07 supercharger to come out.. its gonna be awesome.
their was a reason that toyota redesigned the 2az with higher comression, and little oil shooters, for FI. now i highly doubt that TRD will be switching to turbo, because to be honest it will be nearly impossible for them to get CARB on it.
i have 3k right now that was saved for rims/tires/coilovers, but after hearing everything that has been going on, im gonna wait a little while to see where TRD goes, and if everything looks good, ill be boosted.

Ok I just finished reading whole topic... Very good info. thankyou everyone for that.
But who had their superchargers installed at the dealer and who didnt? Whats the pros and cons to having it installed there and how much did it run you? I went to my dealer yesterday and they didnt know anything about it nor the install price.

I got mine installed at the dealer. I made sure they had done the install before. Im sure there are cheaper places out there but they have installed this part before so they should know what they are doing. Plus the installing at the dealer gets a longer warranty than somewhere else.
i can confirm that other post that my buddy who works at a toyota dealer has the part number for the 07 manual s/c. there is no part number for the auto yet. it just says "available winter" so i guess that means i am gonna learn how to drive manual. i am not about to get an auto and live w/ its power until winter.
i am gonna post in here b/c i am affraid to post out in the rest of the board and everyone in here has been super helpful w/ the s.c stuff.........
did u see that in the 07 catalog there is an LSD from TRD for the 05-07? PTR39-21070. It says new, did anyone else see this?

hey guys. im really thinking of possibly buying the trd s/c this summer and ive been reading through all your posts trying to learn more about it before i drop 3k on it. quick question. what is the exact warrenty on the supercharger? correct me if im wrong, but it comes under the 5yr/60,000mile warrenty that comes with the car right??
but problems do exist.
i can go ahead and buy a comptech supercharger, mod my civic and never have a problem, what the hell is up with the TRD one?
i would love to get the TRD supercharger, but i wouldnt want all the problems associated with it. and sure, the problems are not as big as some make them, but a broken seal on something that constantly rotates will evenutally cause lots of problems.
