TRD supercharger owners, how happy are you with it?

Right now, vortech supplies just the supercharger, and TRD built the remaining kit to fit on the TC. This will change with the 07 to provide higher rates of reliability.
theres not really a problem with all of the superchargers though.
and just because they decided to do it that way (if they infact did) then it just could be them listening and just wanting it to give more power and they realized that they cant do it. or they just want to see if vortech can make a nicer unit period.
or just to make it so that it can fit on all the models(tC/xD/xB2) with little changes in the install to make it more cost effective to them.
changing a design doesnt mean that the old one is overall a peice of ____, its not really.
^^ the above is if in fact the random statement is true about vortech doing the whole thing

we'll just have to wait and see if the statement is true or not. so many rumors going around about TRD switching to turbo and vortech building the complete supercharger kit now. only time well which one is true or not. back on topic, How happy are you with the TRD supercharger?
12,500 happy and trouble free miles on my s/c (note MOST s/c owners don't have problems). I did develop a dash rattle at certain RPMs after having it installed, but my dealer fixed that rattle and all is good.

doubt there will ever be a CAI for the supercharger, too much carb red tape.
and simplyscion everyone keeps saying that its not out yet cause TRD directly says that its not out yet.

My buzzing happens at about 3200 to 4200 RPM, and sounds like it's coming from the driver's side vent and/or switch panel.
The tech found that the cover over/next to the heater core (on pass side) had a broken clip and was sitting there rattling. It picked up in frequency in the higher RPM range, becoming more noticeable at higher speeds. The sound was actually travelling up the vent tube, to the air vent on my side.
When the dealer told me this, I will admit I didn't believe that was what was causing the rattle. I had NO noise coming from the pass side. BUT...voila, the noise is now GONE and I am once again in love with driving this car!
Don't know if this will be your experience or not, but you might want to check. They said it looked like someone forced the cover on and in doing so, broke the clip. I took delivery of the car with 4 miles on the ODO so I know it has to have come to me like that.
Unfortunately, the dash had to be removed to get to the cover.

This is the description of work the dealer gave me:
"Technician test drove vehicle and confirmed noise. Checked for TSBs none found. Removed the drivers side panel for the switches, noise still present. Removed the heater dash vent and test drove. Found noise coming from behind the dash. Removed the dash to the climiate controls. Test drove and found noise coming from heater core area. Technician removed further and found the panel next to the heater core loose. Added felt still unable to get rattle to stop. Found the clips not securing and part needing to be replaced."
