Treadstone turbo NEW PICS & VIDEOS!!! 2/11 pg 20&21
yea...the stock clutch I was told by my mechanic can last for a long time....29,000 is way too early to have a slipping clutch. He told me this info when I was at 50,000 miles so that makes me beleive that my clutch is stilll in good working order. I think you were just having traction problems aahaha...So you got your crashbar and bumper cut yet or what? if so how did it go?

Took the car out for a little bit tonight just on a test drive, car is running very rich, ecu still has to learn i suppose. Im running the 9psi spring in my wastegate, all i can say is good god, didnt expect it to run like it did. Couldnt get traction through 3rd gear, it was sick. No rattles, no leaks, everything is basically perfect, couldnt ask for more right now. We'll see how things go over the weekend, hopefully it wont run as rich but not to lean also. Ill bring updates.
Glad you got everything installed. How are the afrs with the 9lb? I know at 7lbs its already border line safe afrs.
Yes the injector clips should come preassembled. Its a pain.
Give the ecu a few days, It will relearn. Idle afrs will be at 14.8-15.0.
Did you teflon tape the oil feed/return on the turbo?
Yea the car is running really good. Havent got the wideband installed as of yet, still waiting on my pod to come in. Ive been taking it easy on it, will continue until i get my wideband hooked up, dont wanna pop it. Other than that, i have no complaints. still no leaks and yes i put teflon tape on pretty much everything that was dealing with the oil line. Im still having some problems with clearances with the cooling fan but that will be fixed as of saturday. Gonna move the radiator forward also, should take care of everything. Very happy with the kit soo far for it being an aftermarket product which never goes on well.
if you arent sure of traction loss or clutch slippage, look at your speedo whenever it takes place, if the speed goes up during the slippage, then it is your tires, if your speed doesnt go up, then it's your clutch!!!
Yea i checked it out yesterday, its not the clutch. It was just seemed hard to believe that the tires were breaking loose like that, but whatever, fine with me. I plan on putting it on the dyno once i get my wideband installed and make sure its not running too lean. I will post numbers as soon as i get them. Hoping for good ones.
Funny...You guys can afford a turbo kit, have time to install, but not take 5 mins to get a few pics, or possible video of it? What gives. I got a custom installed Wideband, and had pics of it within 2 days of getting the car back....

But I already made time to do all this, So some time this week I'll have pics. I promise.
werd congrats to nd4spd and if 93accord is who i think he is his install seemed to go well and btw my buddy really does want to race you but you should really tell him no unless you just wanna do it for fun cause he was messin with you trust me you dont want none but 93 accords install came out clean and has convinced me to abandon my show project and my s.c. project and just get boosted and leave it mine is an auto though so i will order the auto tranny cooler from somewhere if anybody has any suggestions as to where to get one from that would be great. so im gonna try and order my exhaust with it as well. jeremy i dont know if your still runing everything from the turbo manifold to the hipower is stock or not you told me once before i just forgot. but if you are let me know how thats workin out and you still need to give me a ride. i must seem like a total groupie at this point but i dont care just tryin to get everyones opions and advice before i go dump 4k to do this and void my warranty. thanks guys and good luck
My install went well also. The only problems I had and still have is the oil leak from the return fitting because who ever put the turbo together they used liquid teflon.
It may seem like I had alot of problems but I listed everything we ran into that held us back. The install only took a few hours and the car was running but cutting the bumper slowed us down because we didn't know that had to be done.
plus who ever is installing a kit now is reading my thread and avoiding all of these problems and are aware of what they might run into.
If i wasnt the first to install this kit then someone else would be posting these problems.
