Play it safe and get the 8:5:1 and up the boost down the road.

Boost is very fun, especially in an auto. Ask 318tc. LOL

8.5:1 would be great for turbo.

if you go 11:1 you will still need to buy some type of piggyback controller to control the extra fuel and would also need to control timing . why dont u take the money u would spend on pistons and just go buy a turbo kit ? and leave the stock pistons .

well if you are doing this for hp reasons the turbo will give you double or triple the hp then pistons .

I agree to go turbo but I would run 9:1 as opposed to 8.5:1. It will improve your off boost throttle response.

zpi charges a 700 ya 700 dollar core charge so im going to send it in to zpi.
ok ive ran some nubers to see if i should go N/A or turbo

i figured 92 hp gain for 3829 dollars with the turbo route

and 85 hp gain for 2665 going N/A this is asuuming i do all the work

the turbo route includes zpi stage 0 turbo, zpi stage 1 head, and greddy emanage
ultimate.

N/A route includes injen cai, mmw header, zpi pulley, zpi stage 1 head, zpi 11:1 pistons, and greddy emanage ultimate.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated. keep in mind im still learning alot about car mods

Eh, nobody has any flowbench numbers on the ZPI head or any HP gain...

If I were to get my head built, I would leave it to the pros at LC Engineering..

hmmm.. i was there at the shop when ZPI did a dyno on a car. tC had a stage 1 head and 11:1 pistons with an emanage tune and dynoed 169 whp and 173 wtq on a stock exhaust and no headers.

those numbers are to the wheel, so in reality I think that is +29whp with those mods only.

In the N/A route you could easily go over 200 whp.

ya its pricy but a cost analysist shows that the turbo route cost 41 dollars per 1 hp where as the N/A route cost 31 dollars per 1 hp. so the N/A is more cost efficient

But N/A you can only go so far...

Your better off boosting your tC, and upping the boost when your built and ready..

ya your right but im being realistic the tc isnt a sports car. when i get the money i want a 350z. w/ a turbo you can reach 700 hp. now that is definitly worth it.
