I do not see how you could get 85 HP with your NA setup. I know no one really has dyno’d this setup so no one will really know but I would guess that the stock cams would be a bottle neck for power in the upper RPM range with those moods.
Also your turbo setup would probably net a little more power then that. Also if you add and IC later and up the boost then the amount of power definitely goes up. But with just the setup you have I would guess you would go from 140 Wheel HP to about 250 Wheel HP. That would be a 110 HP gain. Also like I said no one really have dyno’d that setup before. Also with both NA and Turbo setups I would also include an exhaust also.

But you are making it to sound like 400whp and the Z's motor breaking "IS THE NORM" which it is not.
All I have to say is.. Have you ever owned a turbo car?...If you did there would be no question. I have had both a fast N/A car and a turbo car. There is nothing like a turbo pull it is the best, like a drug. N/A carsare cool too dont get me wrong if you spray em’

^^ I think people on scionlife need to read more before they post. lol
I am more a reader and then poster.
Rhythmnsmoke has a turbo tc and 350z so he might know a little about both atleast.lol
And for the original poster, I think you might want to stay n/a and learn more about boost, like reading maximum boost by corky bell....I think thats the book, great book on boost.
And learn as much as you can before you go down this route.

i agree with unlimited77 research before you buy. you dont wanna screw it all up then have to start all over again... like with a new engine cuz you messed everythin up. and just asked a couple questions on scionlife.
Not exactly, on low boost it will be fine...
The 2ZZ has 11.5:1 compression and they have F/I applications.

But I think it will be extremly difficult without the help of a very goood tune, and also it wouldn;t help a lot on that kind of compression. It is likely that for better results and up the boost low compression pistons would be better. Don't you think?
