The only reason I was going with the turbonetics is because a friend of mine is taking it off of his 05 and is willing to trade for somethings... He only had it on his car for like two months and it comes with everything... I was looking at the dezod and zpi that some guys have on here for sale but i would have to save up a little more...

Well if you can get it for dirt cheap you can try and make it work..not sure what you would need to do to make it work with an auto though...also finding a tuner for that kit is going to be next to impossible since very few people can tune with a unichip so you might want to think about that also. I'm not sure if the map for a manual will work for an auto..I'm sure someone can chime in about that or hell hit up paul dezod from dezod.com.

Fitment might be an issue..I know with the dezod kit I believe you have to shave the trans fluid dipstick tube or something like that. It may, in the end, be more trouble than it is worth really..to me the fact that it uses unichip and not something a little more standard like greddy emanage or AEM FIC would cause me to stay away from it...hope that helped somewhat

Im guessing you friend has 1 for a manual TC , The turbonetics kit did also sell a kit for the AUTO. Im pretty sure the only difference between most manual and auto kits is the trans dipstick location.

First, find out what kind of manangment he has if its a unichip then I suggest investing in a FIC or Emanage ultimate They did start selling the kit with the FIC after a while.

Also is depending on when he bought the kit see if the turbo is oil or water cooled ( plate on back of turbo will gold-oil or red-water, you want red). The water cooled one last longer while oil ones usual blow a seal.

Overall when I ran the Tnetics kit on mine when it was auto was it was very fun. Ran ALOT better on the eman ultimate than the unichip. Get a tranny/oil cooler. Remeber over time the tranny will most likey be the first to go. Mine last about 45-50K mile and I beat on it ALOT....

So is it even worth it to get a turbo kit on an A/T?
Is the descendant kit good?
And if i do install a kit, hat am i eliminating versus just trying to make my tc faster by installments?

Oh yeah, it's definitely worth it.

Then again, like the post above. "Don't Boost on a Budget!"

I spent thirty-eight hundred on my kit out the door and I love it.

Then again, I got a custom job with a Turbonetics wastegate, turbo and a HKS BOV.

Ya I peiced a ZPI kit together and I got everything for about $2200 for everything. But I did do all the to install it and stuff my self so im sure I saved some $$ in that point.
I would say though turboing a auto is worth it. I had a blast with it! Just make sure you cover your trans with a cooler and get a valve body upgrade! That is deffently worth it

Once again.

DON'T BOOST ON A BUDGET.

You're going to have to play to pay one way or another. Outside of piecing a kit together yourself, there are alot different options in terms of turbo kit.

the only place that makes an automatic kit is dezod. They also have nice options like catted downpipe. You can make most kits fit on an auto with some modifications, but its best to go with that out of the box fit if you are not tech savvy or not loaded with cash. Sound performance and descendant both will modify a kit to auto for you for a small extra price... Then again those kits are more expensive.

if you cannot pay for the kit cash then you shouldn't get it. There will be extra cost involved as well as expensive supporting mods.

There isnt really anything different from the auto kit to a manual. Only difference is the trans stick has to be relocated a bit to make room for some piping and the psi may be a little lower to take the stress off the trans.
Cheapest way is deffently peice a kit together but you have to know what your your doing and looking at. Also like Hix said you need some support mods for the trans like a trans cooler and mabey a valvebody upgrade to help the trans out. Hix has one on the way as we speak ;)

With how the intake pipe is there isn't even a way to mod it to fit on the car unless you completely plug the trans dip line and cut the transmission mount. Don't waste your money.

If you are referring to the. Ptuning kit, perhaps you should do more research and not assume things. The kit comes with a new custom front motor mount. It's included in with the kit dude. A cold air intake style setup is more efficient than that filter routing up in the engine bay behind the battery that's on every other kit on the market. Drawing in colder temps to compress from initially adds to the effect of producing more power. It's by far the best ON the market and way worth it.
