This is starting to make me wonder what numbers I am gonna get when I add my headers also. I am hoping I can go from 227hp/197 ft-lbs to somewhere around 240-250hp and 210-215ft-lbs.
Get that Pulley on there and you will see about 230-240hp... hehehe, make me get off my butt and get my header...

This guys gains are exceptable. 208 hp, before he added the pully, with just an exhaust, custom intake (prob making little to no gains) and a bosche bpv. You're only making 3 more hp than him and you've got a freaking alphawerks header. With your header as well you should be equaling his 208 hp, plus another 10-15, at least (Those gains are perfectly reasonable from a boosted car). That puts you squarely around 220-225. Granted, you don't have a 3 in exhaust, but who knows if that's even freeing up any power since he's still got on the restrictive S-pipe. Your header is basically netting you 0 gains, grab a zpi s-pipe and you should be where I estimated you at, mark my words you'll see at least 220 whp. Add the zpi pulley, and you might hit 240. Then, you'll have some nice numbers, until then....it doesn't impress me.
Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not knocking your car or your numbers. But you said that your numbers were IMPRESSIVE. And I've gotta be honest with you, they're mediocre at best, and sub-par at worst. You're telling me that a car which starts with 195 whp, only gains 15 hp's with an intake/header, plus a bpv (which alone adds close to 10 hp) and is supposed to be impressive? Come on, fess up, those numbers are weak on any car, especially a tC. NA guys are getting 10 hp with just a header, forget about FI. Bottom line is, give me your car and a similar mod list, and I'm making 220-225 hp and wouldn't settle for anything less.
Also, the BPV does not definately add hp. We need to get someone to dyno before the BPV and After. All the BPV seems to do is allow for quicker boost. But until I see dyno Proof I am not gonna say it adds any.
HighlanderMac I wasn't talking to you, I was just citing your numbers saying that I think yours are on target, as opposed to the author of the threads dyno numbers. You're making about 230 hp, before a header. Even if this guy were to grab a zpi pulley right now, he'd only be able to match ur numbers, not surpass them, even though he's got a header too. His alphawerks isn't doing JACK until he gets an s-pipe to go along with it. That's why his numbers are low.

plus a bpv (which alone adds close to 10 hp)
I don't see what's funny. Everyone here has testified that the bpv increases responsiveness noticeably. Theres no confirmation whether it's freeing up power, or just allowing boost to come on earlier, but the facts remain that it increases responsiveness. Make your own assertion on how it does that, but in my experience, a leaky bpv will lose boost, and boost is power, thereby leading me to believe that the bpv loses power. The bosche 110 restores it.
Wtf does getting banned from a 350z forum have to do with anything, I told those guys the truth...most of them are caught in a middle age crisis, which caused some of them to scrape and scrounge enough money to buy a car which they couldn't really afford, in effect boosting their aging egos. I pointed out the fact that 40, and 50 year old men (some of whom stated they were in the military) have no business sitting at home in the middle of the day, arguing about pointless sh*t over the internet. They should be out doing things grown adults do...such as maybe WORKING, or if theyre as well off as they would have everyone believe, playing golf. I know that's what I'd be doing.

Woodyear, I was just restating my setup. I totally agree with you about the header not doing too much for him. He definately needs an S-Pipe, just like my exhaust isnt doing much for me due to not having a header.
I am not trying to start crap with you, I actually agree with you on some of it.

you know i didnt post this information to get my integrity as a person knocked down by an inconsiderate person. i never claimed my car was the best around like your making it seem. people with a stock tc might say my car is "impressive".
Also i did admit that i need a s-pipe the header isnt helping me becasue the air goes back down to less than away.
its people like you that drive people away form wonderful sites like this, and becasue of you nobody on here will ever know what my current setup is or my current numbers. I dont mind condtructive criticism but you came out ant attacked my integrity as a person, and i dont appreciate it.

Hey OutCrnrU, you better keep me informed man. I can't wait to see how it comes out. Everytime I see a update I am like "YES MORE INFO" then I read where someone says something dumb.. lol..
You will be VERY happy with your numbers I am sure.
Have you gone to a muffler/exhaust shop to see if they can bend you an S-Pipe? It really wont be too hard.. Shouldnt cost you that much... Just a thought.

Look... OutCrnrU is putting respectable numbers and everyone knows the tC is a great car to drive just stock. Its nice and just plain fun. All the forced induction tC peeps have been putting respectable numbers considering the car was built on 139 whp stock and hey, it was fun to drive even with that #. Doesnt matter how much you spend or what not cause in the end it usually makes the purchaser happy.
Ok now that I got that off my chest the S-pipe will do wonders.

i've personally thought some of these dyno #'s been"impressive". By that I mean taking a stock 4, bolting on a sc ( i'll call that stock as well, but we can argue that another time if needed ) and a couple standard add-ons ( exhaust work, etc ), and a car this size with 200+ hp at the wheels is a solid performer. Is it gonna run in the 13's like this? probably not. But from our perspective, we were looking for a car that gave my wife the style & and fun she was looking for, and i was hoping for the performance like many of the cars i grew up with.. and at that it's succeeded. I've driven 12 sec cars and been in a 10 sec car: the wife's daily driver will never turn into one of those; but nail the throttle & our TC still puts a smile on the face. I don't think anyone thinks with the sc and some additional mods they're going to have a real screamer; but these cars are fun to drive. Shouldn't matter if someone gets 227 or 223hp on the dyno ( same as comparing 14.9-15.1 in the 1/4 ). Numbers measured have so many variables, both in equipment & in the operator; it boils down to the owner of that car & if he's/she's happy with it. I understand it's easy to get caught up in the numbers games; we all do it at times ( I'm as guilty as the next).
And hopefully a few negative posts don't keep the owners from posting their numbers and what their running--it's a great way to help all the readers out here who are interested in modding their tc's on what works & what may not. Thanks for the info being placed on the site; there are many of us who do appreciate it.

Jeeze dude don't flip out. I was just saying you could be putting down some better numbers. Not like 10 or 15 whp is that big of a deal, I'm just telling you, you've got some more work to do. Don't take offense, it's stupid, it's just an internet forum man...never knew how people can be so sensitive.
thanks highlander. One thing I sometimes forget is many of the posters here are quite a bit younger; and i'm guessing some may have not built that many cars yet. Not meaning they have no experience vehicle wise( judging by the posts there is plenty of knowledge out there ); but sometimes it takes a few car builds to really learn what mods really add on hp by themselves, what ones actually will get the hp claimed by the manufacturer, what ones need to be "packaged" together to make work correctly, etc... my first few cars were more like "put on headers, some manifold & carb, change cam, and let her rip" and it worked, but not necessarily to perfection. Once I got a better understanding on the whole picture, matching all those components ( along with head work, pistons, etc ) really made the motors sing. Not everyone will agree on results, or even how you get there; but sites like this where you can discuss these things should be a big help to those interested. Like i've posted elsewhere here: old school guys had little options for learning these things. Maybe a car club or car show; hot rod magazine; and basically out on the track/street.
As for our TC; i'll leave it up to TRD to come out with more mods--there will be faster ones then ours out there, but we're not building a drag car here...plus we'd prefer to keep that warranty ( & reliability ) in tact. Are you paying attention TRD??? With the SI out now--you should be jumping into this performance market to "keep up with the Joneses"... as obviously this little car has plenty of potential
