Default wastegate fitting

ok so I have an exhaust leak where my wastegate connects to my dumptube, the wastegate is a tight fit to say the least, and I need to figure out how to seal it. Is the high heat copper rtv sealant my best bet?

you dont really need a gasket there since your dumping to atmosphere....but if you want i wouldnt use the copper....it failed for me

if you are recirq then it needs to seal, if it doesnt then your wideband may show lean

It's leaking at the WG outlet? Have you used the gaskets for the gate like this?

It's leaking past the gasket? You can try copper RTV

I would maybe take some sand paper and try and lightly sand the manifold side where the wastegate mounts. Maybe its slighty uneven? Some surface defintely isnt level cause the gasket should work even if slightly off.
