No there isnt any oil pressure going back to the oil pan to my knowledge, so and dip, or kink, will cause the oil to puddle up and restrict the flow. I believe this happened to my buddies turbo as well.

Ace: I have a tendency to see very small details. Maybe it was the camera angle or the flash, but I clearly see it either flatten out near the fittings, or actually dip right before going into the pan.

yeah i'll just get some thermal exhaust wrap.... what are the chances its my piston rings being blown up? and my idle is really rough too... it bounces between 300-1000 rpm.... would that be the tune?

hmm... a bunch of smoke was coming out of the turbo last time... but we kinda knew it was blown... we got a rebuilt turbo that we just put in. as of now, the condition of my car is... the check engine light is on, sometimes it tells me theres a misfire in cylinder 1, and most of the time im getting the crankshaft sensor error... but my main concern is the smoking problem...

so the new one is smoking too? hmm idk could be oil burning off the exhaust and head that was trapped in it......but the cylinder 1 and crankshaft codes seem like tuning/aem resistor codes to me

Use a -10an line.

Labyrinth seals can handle a max of 100psi. You should not be seeing that much pressure by the time your oil feed takes oil from the head.

If you had a turbo fail and spew oil odds are there is residual oil in your intercooler and you should remove it and flush it out. Let it dry then reinstall.

oh my goodness you sure are lucky that you didnt drive for long...that was letting boost into your crankcase and putting stress on all the seals on your motor and piston rings......did u get tuned like this?

and how did u realise u messed up so badly

it was tuned like that but i did a compression test and it turned out fine... now thats solved... the real tune starts tomorrow!

also we fixed the crankshaft sensor problem... it turned out that we threw a resistor onto

cam1 magi+ to crank1 magi-

instead of

cam1 magi+ to cam1 magi-
crank magi+ to crank magi-

theres another CEL but i think its telling me im running rich... really rich... lol i was smelling gas at idle and it was bogging

but we'll see after tuning!

i agree...... but they just overlooked it... i brought it to a shop to get my turbo installed... then brought it over to another shop to solve that problem
