05 factory radio+new subs. subs dont want to hit hard
hey guys i have ab 05 tc with the orginal factory radio in it. I just put in a 600 watt amp and 2 ten inch subs. now i have had subs before when i had my cogar, i have the same amp that i had then, that i have now. to get to my point here the subs dont hit hard at all the guy that put them in for me said it was because i have a factory radio. he said if i get and after market radio that the subs will hit harder. is that true? or is there something else i can do

Well you could turn up the gain on the amplifier. When you probably had your other car you were using an aftermarket radio with 4 volt preouts. And now you are using your stock with probably a line output converter. So turn up the gain a little.
