Default 05--How to use AUX Input?

Some low-life ripped the aftermarket radio (and subwoofer/amplifier, as well as heater control and the whole bezel) out of my 05 tC Christmas Eve. I got replacement parts from the wrecking yard, but what's up with the AUX input on the stock Pioneer T807?

There's no standard 3.5mm jack, and the IP plug that I got from the audio store doesn't fit it. There must be some way to use the AUX, or there wouldn't be a button for it?!

Sorry to hear about the theft.

A 3.5mm phono jack fits the AUX input located in the center console. The opposite end of the AUX cable is connected to the rear of the head unit via multi-pin connector.

Thanks for the reply.

The 2005s didn't have the aux jack in the center console (AFAIK)--I believe that started in 2006? So there's no cable to the jack in the back of the head unit. That's actually the cable that I'm looking for, with no luck. A local car radio shop sold me one that didn't fit (too small for the jack), and he said that was because the aftermarket cables only work with aftermarket, not OEM, Pioneers. I'm beginning to think that cable may be unobtainium and that the only solution may be an aftermarket headunit (not exactly what I had in mind, or in my budget, especially since I had no comprehensive insurance to cover the costs.

62Fender very kindly pointed me to an eBay listing for the aux cable that attaches to a Toyota-Proprietary jack on the Rear of the Head Unit:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-3-5MM...AAAOSwTA9X2Si9.

It arrived early and installed easily, but nothing happens when I hit the Aux button. (iPhone 8 is attached via an earphone dongle, powered up and playing audio). I've noticed this in other posts, and it seems like there's some secret handshake required to activate the Aux.
Some generic instructions for doing so on a Pioneer HU say to go into the menu--but there's no setup menu on this T807. Or at least not an obvious one--maybe some mysterious combination of pressing different buttons??

Anyone with a 2005 still have the radio manual that came with car??

Where is the Aux Port on the OEM Pioneer Radio because I just got a Scion tC that was my brother's car.

He never had one. Where is it located?

The Pioneer Head doesn't have an AUX Port. The AUX Port is in the Console.

05 Aux Port

There isn't a aux Port in the console. They didn't add that feature in the 05 model. It's was 06 and up. Send me a picture of your console box with a Aux Port because Toyota must have skipped my car in Japan when they built it.

Lake,

It appears that the problem is bigger than 05s not having a jack. I got the cable to plug in the back of the head unit, but it does not recognize an iPhone plugged into it. I have no idea why they put an Aux button on the head unit since it seems non-operational. I've concluded the simplest fix is to get an aftermarket head unit (or live with radio and CDs....)

Sorry to hear the cable didn't work. Never heard of the aux handshake. Disconnecting the battery turns off my subwoofer but the aux never has to be reset.
