I have the electical wiring diagram book for the tC and it pins out each wire. There are actually only 13 wires used in the 16pin connectors. More details to come once my harness is built.

Where does the speed compensating hook up to function? I bought the stock 06 HU on ebay. I thought the HU itself would adjust the volume.
While removing the HU is cake, how hard is it to hook up the volume compensation part?
Thanks.

there isn't a harness to buy ... we just have to make our own or find a donor 06 for it ...

Wow, I had no idea it was this confusing to hook up an iPod to a stock headunit. I give you guys credit, I would have just bought a new headunit and used the aux inputs

If someone knew the pinouts then i could at least wardwire the wiring in, instead of using the connector. Does any one know this? SLODEANIS, ,if you have the wiring diagram would you be so kind as to post it?
thanks for any help, Ben

this is frustrating.

i wish when someone claimed to have the answer, they would update us with what the answer actually is!

perhaps we should start trying to figure it out again since whoever originally suggested the parts were available never came back to update!

What is the model number of the radio in the 2006, is it the same as the Ipod Compatible in the 2007? I know in the 2007 the plugs and wiring that connect directly to the back of the radio is actually part of the car harness, so it would most likely not be available as a separate part from the dealer.

There is someone on Ebay that sells a cable for $70 that connects to the back of the HU and then directly to the Ipod. Again this is for the 2007 Ipod Comaptibale Head Unit so if the plug is different it would not help.
