Sick problem... Did my search and looks like nobody had this prob.

So I decide to turn down my sub today and I noticed a faint rattling IN my sub. This is at low volume, negative bass level, gain turned down on the amp, and im using OEM deck. I put my hand on the sub(the main part) and the rattling stops!

I noticed that my box screws were a little loose and I tightened it, and it only got worse!

Some of my friends say that the cone is fcked, some say my wiring is junk, and some say that the box is crap.

Now, anyone with a sub experience this? or have any suggestions on how to pinpoint the problem? All your replies are greatly appreciated =)

It could be a number of different issues. It would be best to pull it out of the box and check it out.

You can also run it free air and see if you can isolate the problem. If you do this you will want to give the sub MUCH less power!
