Is it ok to use the original grounding points or should I use new grounding points?

tcguy used different points: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...ighlight=big+3

I would personally just make sure the original ground points are nice and clean and reuse the original ground points.. I dont see the benefit of using an alternate and the trouble of all that work for nada. Just my opinion.

will this fries your electronics components quicker? like DD DVD Player/Deck, lights and all car's running electronics components?

sorry it may be a dummy question... just a little concern about it before I do it. will that tutorial works the same on 99 Civic?

thanks for the feedback killa.

i think im going to use the stock location for the chassis, but ill use the engine ground location in the video. it's easier to access and it saves a few inches of cable.

ill post pics after i finish.

just finished soldering the terminals.

Alt > Pos = 36" of wire
Neg > Chassis = 22" of wire
Chassis > Motor = 12" of wire
(lengths do no include terminals)

ill install it tonight after i buy some black zipties.

but as far as i can tell, the neg > chassis wire could be shorter. chassis > motor wire can definitely be shorter (too lazy to fix).

so are you supposed to remove the stock power wire going to the alt? or just keep it and run the new wire to the battery as well? seems like overkill to have both wires.
