Default any one have 3 way components?

i was looking to put some eclipse 3 way components (sc8365) in the front and i was wondering if any one has done it yet? im trying to decide where i want to place the speakers.

the mid bass is a 6.5", mid is 1.5", and tweet is .75"

i was thinking of doing the mid bass in the door, tweet in stock position, and mid in the dash possibly in place of the round ac vent. not quite sure how itll sound like that tho. or maby put the mid in the circle on the door handle? i want to avoid making kicks because the floor is so small.

any one have any ideas?

well... seeing as how small the mid is... with some creativity... you could get the 6.5 in the stock speaker location... get the 1.5 in the factory tweet location and take the tweeter and put it in the A pillar... thats my suggestion... more than likely the only option short of either making door panels or kick panels...

well see i thought about that too, but i cant put the tweeters in the pillers because i have a gauge pod. but it would be a bad idea to have the mid on the dash, that would sound weird woudnt it?

The mid can go on the dash but you have to angle it correctly. This shouldn't be too big of a deal since it's so small but the idea is to angle it off the windsheild toward the other side of the vehicle. So right mid goes off the windshield toward the driver and the left mid goes off the windsheild towards the passenger. That way your sound stage will sound even and the mid on the left wont over power the right.

Take a look at this thread on SoundDomain: Component Tuning: Imaging and Goals It's a little more in depth and good read for anyone with components.
