Any scion techs in the house?
Need help related to a Scion TC 2005 equiped with side impact airbags.
I have removed the passanger side seat for load requirments however since there is a sensor in there (yellow) wire, the airbag system light is lit.
This I understand sets the airbags into limp/defualt/fault mode. My question is, do the rest of the airbags still opperate in an accident in this mode?
Thank you
Justin

Not sure how it would effect the other airbags but here's how you can fix it.
- test the car-side plug using a multimeter. Take note if theres voltage on either lead.
- plug the seat back in. test wires again and note voltage on either wire.
- with the seat out wire up the car side plug to mimic as if the seat were still there. *Example only* is one wire gets ground copy it.
If nothing changes measure the resistance on the seat alone, unplugged from the car. Note the resistance and find a resistor that matches it to plug into the car-side plug.
