According to the instruction card that came with the Auto Dim Mirror, it has a compass feature but I don't see it on the mirror. Anyone have the mirror and would the compass have been another "option" to the mirror?!

I have had a nightmare of a time since buying the car on the 9th of August and have been to the dealer 4 times in less than a 10 day span - it seems I know more about the service and accessories for this car than the dealership and service/parts department?!?!

I would hate to have to go back for somethng I can solve on my own.

they must have placed an incorrect card in your car after install. there is no compass on the dimming mirror.

just get a needle, magnet, cork and a cup half filled with water and put it in your cupholder.

Back on topic; the mirror doesn't come with a compass. It has Homelink, a map light, and three bottom lamps. It would be cool if it did have a compass. It would justify the price a little better.

wtf mine has a compass it lights up green there is a power button on the mirror make sure you hit that

 

Thanks LaMbO, that's what I was afraid of...the buttons on the mirror are 3 HomeLinks, the Compass, and the maplights which matches the intruction card that was in the car.....I was afraid that a trip back to the dealer might be an order....maybe I'll take it in to a dealer other than where I bought the car and accessories.

 

the button after the 3 homelinks should be on/off for auto-dim, then maplight if it is the scion tc accessory.

if lambo has a compass, i don't think he has the tC mirror accessory, they may have put a different car model mirror on. i guess that shouldn't matter, it's just a mirror.

a mirror with a compass will typically have a small rectangle etched out in the upper corner where the led shines thru. i have that homelink mirror on my suv.
