sorta.... it looks like this..

both wires go in the circle part then you sqeeze it so that the M looking piece goes down and connects to both of them.

You will also need to ground the mute wire after moving the mute wire to the empty location above it in the harness. Then you can watch and have full function of the navigation while driving.

Do you have to take it out from the harness or just not connected ...

gicode... you have to take it out of the harness and move it.

paradox.. if you dont recess it back you have to dremel the area behind your door or else it won't close.

superblue.. once you set your destination, it saves it to the onboard memory on the unit. then once it is saved you can watch a dvd and have the nav tell you where to go.

so i did get my d3 installed, does anyone know what the speed sensor wire in the 07 model is? And everything works from music to movies and stuff, the only problem i have is with the navigation, i did the bypass as recommended, and that was a success, but when i go to like point of interest or search (mainly all the navigation options) its says "function not allowed in memory navi mode" so how do i fix this problem. the only way to get rid of that is to put the disc in but does that mean the i have to keep the disc in all the time when i use the navi mode and not be ableto listen to cds or watch dvds?

you answered your own question.. gotta stick in the DVD! The best and only way around it is to buy a video iPod and only do ripped music and movies.

So I have a question once you do the bypass and ground the wires if a switch is not used your parking brake light will remain on???

your parking brake light will turn off regardless of the bypass or the switch.

I have a question is this one way I could do the bypass? If I take the mute the brake and the ground wire twist them together and crimp it in a butt cap then just run like a 14 gauge wire from the other side and ground it? I'm not sure how you guys are doing the ground and im not good at this kind of stuff. Thanks for any help

you can drill out the indents on the small brackets with a 13/16" drill bit and that will allow you to recess it back far enough so that it will fully close
