Anyone do the bypass, then as soon as you get over 20 miles an hour it says it detects the parking break is improperly hooked up and basically disables video playback.....I'm not trying to use it to watch video, more for the nav features you lose, but yeah any help would be great.....

hmm. double check the status of your parking brake ground in the connection status menu to see if it is off or on.. it should be on if you grounded it correctly. and if its on, then its your mute grounded wire. thats wierd that it happens when you hit 20 mph, mine just goes on the moment i turn on the car (i have a bypass kill switch).

yeah I have it hooked up to a switch, but I'll double check the mute wire and see if it's properly in the harness

The only thing I dont like is the ipod screen. Is there an option for background on that screen or change the icon for the buttons? That looks very generic. I ask because the ipod would what I would use most.

I dont remember the color right off hand..

You remove the mute wire from the harness and move it one pin up to the top and ground that wire along with the parking break wire.

That's a good site. You said it right earlier, move the mute wire up to the empty spot above it, ground that and the e-brake wire, and you're set.

I would recommend though, to still connect the e-brake wire to the e-brake (with a diode in-line. This way, your warning lights don't say your e-brake is on all the time), and having a switch ground that out. This way, if you get pulled over, you can flip the swtich, and now you can show it doesn't work without the e-brake being engaged.

you can tap splice it on the black wire (ground) out of your wire harness. its easier that way. the ebrake wire is that long (it is actually coiled) maalox (winter green) colored wire. lol
