Anyone else notice it's kind of hard to see the high end (5-6k rpms) of the tachometer because of the steering wheel? I've had to shift by ear sometimes (when getting on it for mild entertainment
).
Yeah I noticed that w/ Scion. Poor placement. I miss my Prelude w/ the bigger tach more near the middle and not hindered by the steering wheel. Then again the tC wasn't really built or marketed as a car where you would be using the tach much anyway...

haven't seen the commercials?
The gauge positions are bad for all three. I have trouble seeing the top of the speedometer because it's partially blocked by the wheel, and I don't like having my wheel tilted up.
It's a car, not a truck.

I'd like to see a conversion that puts the tach in the center and the speedo to the right. ...the way it should be.
The only time I ever look at my speedo is when the cops are around, otherwise I just pace traffic

1. I shift very early (2.5K) during normal driving. At that RPM, the engine is barely audible.
2. I would have to turn down my stereo to hear the engine in the first place.
^^ ahh, well if I have my music up I usually just go by feel and timing - you can feel the engine through the clutch and gas pedals. Or you could turn down the music, but I get the impression that you might not consider that a valid choice
But yea I checked today, thinking about this thread, and I can see everything 100% fine! The entire console area fits perfectly in the top opening of my wheel.
And no, I don't have it and the topmost. I used to when I first got the car, but then I realized I couldn't see the little lights at the bottom. I basically lowered to where its just clears the bottom. Perfect.
Plus you guys should have your wheels more towards your chest instead of your face so that you can take the impact better in case your airbags go off
