Best Interior Speakers
My 05 is beat and with a new HU on the way, I need your help since I know nothing about car audio
I want a good amount of bass as is possible w/ interior speakers but still want it to have good highs.
So components in the front w/ regulars in the back? or components all around?
amp? probably need one..
I've been looking for ones w/ a high max wattage.. but don't know anything about RMS, Sensitivity or frequency response.

hey there Kev..... click the link at the bottom of my signature on my post here....I'm actually selling a very high end component wise setup...specifically designed for a tC. take a peek and let me know.
^^He is talking about speakers not subs.
OP from what I have heard most of the time all you need is a good set of components in the front. I heard that the back speakers can interfere with the sound quality.
I know Image Dynamics makes some good components at pretty good prices. I have also heard focal speakers and they sounded great

I know that...lol DJ....but if you go for the "all in one" approach, you're gonna lose serious quality, clarity, and tone throughout the full sound range spectrum. That was my main point.
mouse thanks for the info.. but like dj said.. I'm just looking for a non-sub sound at the moment..
dj can you explain to me a bit about components and the amp your selling? what am I looking for to power a new set of components and 5.25 in the back?
If the have the possibility of interring, how would i make a setup like this work?

Well I am not the best at the car audio either. I had the alpines in my old car and they didn't put out a lot of bass really, they were defiantly good on the highs. The amp I am selling wouldnt be good for speakers, I don' t think. It is just a mono amp and for speakers I think you need a 2 channel.
If you do 4 speakers you would need a pretty good size 4 channel amp. Also you can run 6.5" in for both the front and back, you would just need to buy speaker baffles.

well the problem lies with the size of speaker you are using Kev.....mid-range speakers are not designed for a lot of bass output....however, if you have quality mid-range speakers installed AND run an amp to them... you will get Cristal clear mid-range tones out of them with-out distortion until you go beyond their intended range.
^ you kinda just summed up what I'm looking for, haha. A sub would definitely add the needed bass and If I go that route, I think I'd get rid of my spare and have a enclosure built into there to keep the trunk space =x
I listen to a lot of bass type music, so I'm looking for a way to fulfill this inside my car while keeping it nice and crisp for other stuff i listen too. An amp + some good mid-ranges looks to the what I need then.

yeah...lol...you say that now...but you'd be cursing the living @#$!#W$ out of it if you eliminate your spare bro... go under the floor setup or one like Im selling... at least you wont be SOL if you get a flat somewhere....remember....Murphy's frickin' law. lol
Kev if you are ging to amp the fronts you are not gonna need to install rear speakers,Alpine components are not known for great midbass, they do sound very good though, they are also very spendy, have you heard mine and Cindys stereo.Very loud, very clean,I may need to come up to the SEattle meet and let you hear it.
hahaha... yeaah.. I'm sure i'll hate myself for doing it down the line if i did but gah.. I always seem to need that space. If I did do it, it would be a couple months out.
With my new HU, does this make up as an amp already w/ a 50 x 4 chan? I have no idea what that means..
"Built-in MOSFET
The Pioneer AVHP4100DVD has a built-in MOSFET 50 W x 4 amplifier for excellent sound quality, minimal distortion and efficient power handling."
or do I need something on top of that?

Im sure my rears are fine actually but the fronts rattle a ton and I'd just want something comparable that will will be clean and crisp sounding
Like I always say; go to an AUDIO STORE (not Best Buy!!) and listen to some components. We all
hear differently, so what might sound good to me could sound like crap to you. Once you find a pair
you like, check out prices online. (Sometimes local audio shops are waaaay overpriced.) The install
you can DIY. It's not that hard. The worst part is running speaker wire. GL

The output of the headunit would be okay with similar to stock speakers but for components I would recommend an amp. Yea sound deadening will help out a lot. I am about to sound deaden the crap out of my car. lol
