With my new HU, does this make up as an amp already w/ a 50 x 4 chan? I have no idea what that means..

"Built-in MOSFET
The Pioneer AVHP4100DVD has a built-in MOSFET 50 W x 4 amplifier for excellent sound quality, minimal distortion and efficient power handling."

or do I need something on top of that?
There are a few threads on SL....cant remember the name of the sub brand it's on the tip of my tongue but cant think of it lol...maybe some peeps can chime in with the brand...but there is one that offers up to a 10" sub I believe that is powered and sits under the floor space like the stock premium units do....just with a larger sub than the stock Toyota/Scion one.

Hyghgynx has the best idea so far. Suggesting brands and reading reviews is sometimes pointless, especially when people have different and unique tastes in what good sound actually sounds like. Cartoys has Focal, Alpine, Pioneer so just go visit one of those stores to see how they sound. I have a set of Diamond HEX 6" Components that we can hook up to your car to have a listen. You can also audition my DLS Ultimate up6i components in my car. Car stereo warehouse in N. Seattle sells Image Dynamics so visit them for a listen as well. Brian's Elemental Designs components are also great speakers for the price so try to set up a time with him at the local meets. One thing to not overlook is the amp. Amps do have a big say in the way your music sounds.

yes good amps and good wires and sound deadening make the comps come alive.......took me 4 months to get mine tuned right, added a little bit of wattage at a time and then changed the levels and then added more over and over till I got levels that match the subs perfectly........dang tweeters are still harsh though.......lol,I need to try differant tweeters.......mine are super loud and even at -3db and eq turned way down on them they still ring too loud at times.

alright.. I think I just found a sub that I don't mind getting.

Scion tC Side Mount SQ 10 Enclosure

check out how well this fits in!

Thing is now, this enclosure is for their sub.. Think I could fit in a different one if I found the right size?

Here's the sub that works w/ this enclosure

^ I'll just cut that part off maybe and give it some air..

I'm not looking to get too loud but just to add some more bass if possible even a new cover w/ a cutout for the sub could work.

I have to agree with the focal comments, I can't remember what model I heard in a audio store but they were amazing. It was in a big room and they were so loud and clear, I could only imagine what they sound like in a car. But I am probably going with the ones joyride posted.

how about I install a different 10" sub into the enclosure? can't be hard to find something that matches these specs.

Magnet Width: 2.700"
Cutout Diameter: 9.125"
Mounting Depth: 3.000"
Weight: 7lb
Total Height: 3.400"
Displacement: .03 ft³
Outside Diameter: 10.250"
i would hope all 10's are the same =x

We could put the ID 10 I have in a custom enclosure for less than the SQ10 and it would hit better and be a lot more custom, same loss of room too..........i have a spare, was gonna put in the yaris, but decided to go daily driver with it........small box for it and good to go, and they are loud and clean.
