in my profile is the picture of the sub,we can build a box for basically free as I have half a sheet of wood still at Larry's from my floor build, the ID10s are great, hold about 300w,clean sound, and it is sitting under bed so you can get for probably cheaperthan CJsold to me....lol.......lets say for about the same as the SQ10 with no shipping, and we can build box for free short of calking,....maybee $4 cost.........hey it is the PNW we get it done.

I only used the used subs in my build and cannot seem to blow them up.....and have about 50w to each over what they handle........they are great subs......and loud, and massage great in a sealed box.......lol........ported they might not be so good but sealed they are great.....sealed you also can go with smaller box,one that will fit it=either in the spare or nest to it with floor over spare,I have that much wood left to work with I think.........no need to buy materials when we have on hand......

Those were the Diamond Audio Hex Components. I had the tweeters wired out of phase and they sounded really good. In phase, they were very harsh. If you want to play around with them, I can bring them to the meet this friday.

They were too bright for me when I listened to them in my buddy's car. But thats just me. I like my tweeters laid back and not in your face. Thats why I ended up with DLS Ultimate up6i.

^ I'll have to give those a listen then.. cheaper too? haha

btw, the decked just shipped. I talked about it to a few local audio shops and they kept trying to upsell me other ones that were just ok. They pushed kenwoods a ton but I didn't really like the UI

One day i went in there to look at a single DIN Pioneer Premier deck for $400 and the guy asked me a few questions and instantly showed me a Kenwood DNX8120 deck that at the time was going for $1599. They're paid by commission if you can't tell already. lol

Haha.........yeah try Cartoys salesmen........oh god I had to leave last year,I just wanted a car alarm, simple huh........sad part was I ended up at Bestbuy.......lol,and they still screwed up the install,my HIDs flash with the panic button and I cannot find the pin to make it stop that function.......

You are gonna like the DLS.........they are very clean sounding, and balanced, and go freaking loud without the ringing sound most tweeters get.

^ DLS ultimate it is.. found it for 255 on ebay

Now on to amps..

dl ultimate up6i
Frequency range 50 - 20 000 Hz
Sensitivity 88 dB (1W/1m)

then sub down the line.. what kind of amp 4/5 chan amp would fit this setup?

alpine MRP-F600 sound good enough?

http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...odel=MRP-F600F

Per channel into 4 ohms: 100W x 4 (1% THD)
Per channel into 2 ohms: 150W x 4
Brigded 4 ohms: 300W x 2

or would a pdx work better? Mono or not? >_<

although I love ED's other subwoofers, the sq10 sub did not impress me and didn't have very much output. I would suggest looking at flat subs made by pioneer, kicker, mtx, soundstream, and memphis audio.

the sub is actually included so I'll just pick up another one and make sure it's the right depth for the enclosure if I go that way.. Brian, I know you said we could make one down the line.. I'm still considering that too =)

ok.. so I'm going w/ the dl ultimate up6i in the fronts.. which are 180w a piece. Then with a 300w sub, that'll be around 700.

so a amp that can handle those should be good? 800-1000??
