Sounds like you got things figured out.

Whats the size of the MDF board? Also, I see the hole you drilled under the speaker slot, but where do the other bolts get bolted into?

Hey Chris have some questions for you before I attempt to try anything of this nature. Like I orginally told you before buying all the stuff from eD I said I want to mount my 9.4 and 9.2x behind the panels like you did in this topic. Well here is where I installed my crossovers

Do you think these will cause a problem with the installation of the amps? Will this disrupt the airflow through the speaker grill built into the panel? And will the crossover be too close to the amp and cause interfernce? What do you think? Also any other pointers or tips u can give?

I finished the deadening so far. One layer of v1se2 on floor, hatch floor and sides, rear skins, v3 on backside of front door panels, backside of hatch panel, on metal of hatch, on metal frame of front doors, and I might put a layer over the top of the v1se2 in the whole in the hatch by the wheel wells. Thanks again Chris, Cory.

suppose to be but think of all the people in car competitions with the clean installs with the crossovers next to the amps in the rear of the car. also if you look very closely at Chris (mandos) picture where he showed his amp behind the panel. Under the amp lying down is the crossover. You can spot it by the yellow. But good question... I believe it is prefered to be closer to the speakers but does not HAVE to be near them. But don't quote me on that I am just stabbing at this one.

Looks like I must have posted on a dead thread... but if for some reason people are out there and actually are reading this. If you have any experience in mounting an amp behind a door panel and have some advice or anything post and let me know or PM PLEASE.

Mandos has been sick and busy, so he has not been posting on any of his posts lately.

Yeah, I didn't even notice this getting bumped.

Today...we made our warehouse into a warehouse...that was fun.

As for mounting the amps back there, it shouldn't be an issue at all...just make sure to put the bolts not through the x-overs.

As for x-over near/far. I've always had mine far. I had them next to the comps once, and honestly didn't notice a difference. It's said that they should be close, but I can't hear it so I just put them where they fit.

Thanks Chris I figured something must have been up becuz most of the time I have ever seen one of the topics u either start or post on you get back pretty dang quick with feedback. But here lately it hasn't been so I figured you must have been very busy. I hope my next day off I will be able to atleast get somewhere with the amps. And there should be no problems with overheating right? becuz I know here in the "Sunshine State" of Florida that area of the car would probably reach temps of atleast 100+ degrees? Cuz if this idea won't work I guess I will end up putting them under the floor where the spare goes.

Shouldn't have an issue with overheating...just make sure to trim the styrofoam down far enough so that it doesn't hit the amp

Schuller your amps are behind the panel??? Becuz I decided to just put the amps where the spare use to be and once I get my rims and tires I will just ride with some fix-a-flat I guess. Is that what are you guys with the amps built into the floors do if u happen to get a flat??

Yep, like like the mandos pic but I bolted them to the car rather than bolting a board to the car and then mounting the amp to the board. The mandos way is the better way. I have a amp on each side. I think there is much more breathing room in the side as compared to the spare area. I just wish I took pics.
