Yeah dont skimp, made that mistake and now Im putting up with a crappy setup. Im going for an all elemental designs set up next.

 

well if you think your stock stuff sounds like crap the stuff you're going to buy isn't going to be better than stock at all.

The stock is an all pioneer setup with decent stuff. its not bad but its not great at all. Its actually one of the better stock setups i've had. Save and do it right. Thats all i can say

 

My stock set up was fine, I just wanted more bass. I listen to rap/hip-hop.

is kenwood any good at car audio??? I found some subs i think i like but im afraid they are what you all would call PooP..

Well, Best Buy guys aren't always out to brainwash people into buying junk, and Elemental Designs isn't the come-all end-all of car audio, but since this is a $16k car, most people aren't looking to put $6000 systems in their car, and ED offers the best ratio between sound and price.

a good amp and sub should sound good for around 3 years, not 1 year

a garbage amp and sub may never sound good, and can blow at anytime

get a good powerful amp. you won't regret it later. even if the amp you get puts out to much power for the subs you have now u can always just turn the gain down, then when you upgrade let her rip.

why not just get 2 12" phoenix gold rsd12d...they sound fugging good to me..but i only have one..and there 500 watts each so u will only need a 1000watt amp at 1 ohm
