Here's a link to the "tC Stealth Sub"

Stealth Sub

...and here's the disclaimer.

Anyone that wants to build one for themselves or for a buddy etc. is welcome to use my design. However... anyone that wants to fabricate these in a production environment for profit will need to contact me to get permission.

So... if you take the plans to a local shop to get them to fabricate it for you and they get the bright idea that they can make a ton of money selling these things... then... they have to clear it through my company... Dead Dog Design. My email is... flbusa@flbusa.com

Oh and one last thing... Dead Dog design takes no responsibility for any monetary loss, damages or personal injury as a result of fabricating this design. Basically you're on your own.

Enjoy!!!

Pete

Pete,

I know you have a disclaimer there, but I think you have to have a patent, trademark, copyright, or something other than a post on a message board..... I don't know anything about that kinda thing, but I don't think that you could hold up a case in court with a post on ScionLife if someone did produce these for profit....

Yeah... I know but... anythings better than nothing. I'm not really looking to make anything off of the idea, just a little credit where credit is due. If someone wants to make them and sell them then that's fine... I'd just like to know and possibly get one made up for a buddy etc.

Dan... You are welcome and... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!!!! That will be my gift to you. :D

Thrown together? Yeah maybe a little effort.. took about an hour to generate the drawing. Good to know there are other engineers here on the site. I'm one as well if you hadn't already figured that out. Been pounding out design for the last 20 or so years and it's still a lot of fun.

Hey... as far as the angles on the print go... you can round them to the nearest 1/4 degree and it will go together just fine. I have a few tips on glueing, sealing and covering if you need them.

I experimented around a bit with other ways of creating the angled corners and there really wasn't any simple way of doing it. I might change around the design a bit to make it more "angle" driven as opposed to linear as it currently is.

As I told Dan... just round to the nearest 1/4 degree and it will go together just fine.

Yes... I rewired them using one coil only for each (4ohm x 2 for 2ohm net on the amp). It's perfect!!! The amp is set to just a little over 50%. No clipping and really thumping bass. When the music's turned up I can see the rear window vibrate from the mirror. :D

Thanks for the help Chris.

I like the setup you got for that, very clean design and nice way to use the space.

Question for Mandos or anyone else, lets say I get a couple of Eu's and place them in the front as you once did-what did you have for the Hi's? The rear speakers, componets, or what? Right now I'm running the stock speakers, Memphis 10" in the stock Bazooka enclosure (making a similiar box with my own touch) but I want two Eu's up front for midbass but what about the rest of the music?

Don't put the 700's up front unless you're going to have an additional midrange and tweet up front as well like in a 3-way system... 700 in door + eDi6500s components in kickpanel enclosures would be pretty sweet.... although the 6500s do well without the 700's anyway...

^^ Yeah That.

As for us building this box...we don't currently have the 1/2" MDF...we're going to get some, but we can't get it locally = an hour drive for a sheet of wood
