gauging interest in DIY about audio system.
I also replaced the front speakers on the passenger side today with components without breaking the stock stuff or removing the stock wiring. I just tied into the stock speaker wire coming in (without actually cutting it half) and ran new wire from the crossover to the tweeter and woofer. Maybe i'll take pics of the driver side when i do that too and add that for anyone who wants to replace the stock stuff and tie into the stock wiring. This was done without breaking things, drilling new holes, cutting up the stock wiring except to strip the casing a little to tie into it. I should be able to replace with the stock components with ease. Its not exactly clean or professional but it works and could easily done more professionally if you care about what everthing looks like behind the door panel. Also i ordered the ELA harness from the bazooka site. They claim it will work with the stock vse sub and allow rca usage. I'm going to try it out when I get it and install a new HU at the same time. Anyone interested in me documenting any of this if it works out? Or was this done somewhere else and I missed it?

sorry I was replying to a post and thought I would see if anyone wants to see how I did my front speakers, basically for those who don't wanna ruin the stock components or wiring and isn't concerned about being professional. Also, I ordered the ELA harness from bazooka which is supposed to allow me to run rcas into the stock vse sub. I didn't get the harness yet but i could post that when i do. Again sorry for the the bad grammar in the first post.
