they fixed that in the '08+ by placing a ground for the aux (which they should have done so in the first place)
is there some kind of recall for that?

have you corrected this issue your self? where did you get your ground loop isolator.

Also the ferrite bead doesn't help

Thank you all for your help! I'll post back once I get the ground loop isolator or ferrite bead so I can verify if it does actually solve the problem.

Oh, I forgot to ask. If I do get the ground loop isolator, is it an easy install? Just plug and play, or do I have to remove the little center console area.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have finally bought all the necessary things to tackle this problem. It wasn't cheap either.

#1. Kensington LiquidAux Deluxe package - ~$70
#2. Auxiliary cable -> Dual red+white wire -$7.69
#3. Ground loop isolator -$18.31 inc tax
#4. Red+white wire -> Auxiliary cable - $3.99

So in the end, I paid about 100 dollars for this setup, 30 dollars if you don't buy the kensington liquidaux deluxe like I did. I do like it, and it works like a charm, the only downside is that there is one wire leading from my waterfall to my center compartment box. I wonder if I can drill a few holes to hide it.

PS. Ground loop isolator = success, just try to find one that goes from auxiliary -> ground loop isolator -> auxiliary, that way you don't have to buy so many things like I did.

You'll need another auxiliary cable that will connect to a media player/mp3 player for it to work. But yeah, it'll work Maybe I should have bought this one....

If you have access to that, is it 3yr/36,000? or is it higher?
