Default I have a problem...

Okay, I just installed my new LCD screen in the center, and I wanted to move my stock radio into the glove box. Okay I spliced ALL the cables from all 3 plugs from behind the radio and extended them like 2 feet for it to reach the Glove compartment. The thing is I know I have all the cables to the correct cables in the plug, cause I did them all one by one. But now the radio is dead and I already checked all the fuses inside the car and they where fine. Now what should I do?

How did you connect the wires?

I used 18 gauge to help in the lose of power per feet, and I did one cable at a time, so Iwouldn't comit an error.

How did you connect the wires together... soldier and tape, crimp caps, butt connectors.

okay, since I didn't have a solder at the moment, I used the old method of stripping the wire and roll them together, but it will be very difficult to get them sepparated.

Ohh the old twist and tape method.. Well since there are no blown fuses and your sure you hav all the wires matched correctly.. then it sounds like you have a bad connection of one of the power wires. I would double check all the connections and make sure the wires match up.. Is it a factory stereo or after market?

Well guys, I have bad news, no results on double cheking the wires. The only fuse that was out inside the car was the cigarrete lighter, and I can't find no other solution to the problem. I might have to take it to a car audio store and have them fix it and/or buy a new radio if this one has to go.... Any of you have any other idea?
