I want to go smack a tec
Who ever installed my alarm at the dealership I bought my car from...
Here are the reasons way
The alram is super sensitive which isn't a major issue with me. But this is where it all starts. I got to in search of the shock sensor to town it down a little bit. Then i notice after 7 months of having the car.. The Led light is mounted, damn its not even connected to the system.. Still not a big issue with me.. But the location of the alarms brain was in a really bad spot.. So i had to spend a few hours relocating everything.. if some one ever would have broken into my car they could have found everything super easy..
has anyone else come across this problem before ?

I would say 90% of the shop installed stuff is at least this bad. Crappy thing is, it is waaay too easy for people to become "certified installers" or "ASE certified techs" these days. Some of the dumbest comments I have heard have come from "certified" people. It is sad. So just because they are certified means almost nothing these days.
Just because they passed a test and have been doing it for a while does not make them good at it, just as a soldering iron in a stereo installers hands does not necessarilly mean he knows anything about electricity. And as you have found, just because they work at a shop does not mean they know what they are doing.
Take it in and complain... that is if you really want them touching your car again
But I have to ask, why did it take you months to figure out that the led was not connected to the system?

sounds like it's not even the stock factory alarm system...
most dealerships... when dealing with aftermearket systems... have them installed by a third party...
you'd need to find out who installed whatever you have on your car.
