ipod stereo: sound coming out of right side only

Default ipod stereo: sound coming out of right side only

for some reason audio is starting to only come out of the right side speakers when using my ipod. the radio works fine, sound comes out of both sides, its only when i use my ipod. it used to work fine, but just today it started acting up. anyone have any input? thx

If you're using an 1/8 inch plug (standard headphone jack) to connect the ipod to your input it usually means you haven't pushed the cable into the jack all the way.

Does your ipod output left and right channels fine to another source?

well, i'm using the ipod cable, which connects to the bottom of the ipod. i'm not using a headphone jack.

this might sounds like a stupid question, but have you checked to make sure the fade and ballance are both at zero? sometimes when you put in the device it will change the settings from each different function. maybe not the problem, but a possibility.

come on guys, i'm not an idiot like that! i already stated the radio works fine with both sides of speakers. and of course, i did try the balance/fader.

well i dunno what the problem was, but the problem fixed itself, hopefully it won't happen again..
