Unhappy Key fail (where to buy just the key transistor)

I recently bought a flip key from the internet becuase i have always been jelious of my friend who owns a VW Golf GTI with the flip key !!!
I love this so i decided to buy one for my self.
I recived the package i had been waiting for 2 weeks for and ,like a small child at christmas i ripped own the packaging and looked at the coooool flip key.
I swapped the parts and then i came to the part of removing the transitor (a small chip glued which disables the immobilizer) i heated it up and began to relise it from its location untill i got over excited and brought out the pliers i griped the chip and crack !! the transistor broke... The all to familar feeling of an epic fail hit my chest i ran to my car to see if by a slim chance i could make the key work but no!!!
All that went through my head was stealership

But i was wondering if any of you scion gurus know of a way to by just the transistor. And a cheap way of programing the chip.
becuase i have the remote locking moduel and i know i can get the empty scion shell for $15 so if i can get just the transistor i well save a good $120 or if not if any one knows how to remove the chip from the key with out the remote locking key.

Anyway i am a risk taker and with my second key i removed my transitor and now i have a flip key which in my oppion looks cooler than the VW one .

BUT i would realy like a spare just in case !!!

Thanks for any help you guys can give me sorry if there is any grammor errors.

I don't think you can buy the chip by itself.

I was looking around and i found a few websites that sell transponders how ever one requires you to be a lock smith and the other is a wholesale china website http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/toyo...der-chips.html

does any one know how to remove a transoponder from a valet key or has any one tried this

I found it http://www.automam.net/keyblanks.htm they sell individual transponders and you can get the key programed at most places including homedepot for around $50 and it cost $11 for the transponder with shipping and $15 for shell so it should cost about $76 for a new key not bad

the chip can't be programmed.. it's the ecu that needs to be programmed to recognize the chip.

in other words, you need to take the car in to get it done.
