I will be doing a full install of the following components after Christmas, and I'm looking for some feedback from others who have more experience with the items than I do, how they sound, and if there is anything I can improve on without any real added cost:

Clarion dxz575usb HU
Polk Audio db651 6.5s in the front doors
A custom fiberglass box in the passenger side of the trunk (where the optional sub is placed not where the stealth box goes) housing an
eD 13kv.2
and an eD Nine.4 to power the speakers and sub

I'm thinking this will all sound pretty great together, but if anyone has opinions contrary or suggestions please let me know...

 

I am not a big fan of the polk components they are extremely bright. If it were me I would look for something else but sound comes down to what you think sounds good.

 

Personally I really like the polk speakers, id recommend doing some components over coaxials though. Maybe edi6000s or the polk db components

 

sounds good, but get some Phoenix Gold RSD comps instead. they are really inexpensive but sound like they cost a lot more. very clean and clear sounding with good mid-bass and extension.

i haven't heard much good on the polk DB line of comps. i had a set of their coaxs and they were ok but nothing special.

 

If I went with comps where is the best place to mount the tweeters and crossovers?
