My first valve cover...
Alright guys... if theres one thing ive learned, its you need patience to do this... midway through, i was running out. But im happy with the amount of effort I put in, and the results I got. Couldve been better though. LMK what you guys think.
this is what it looked like when i pulled it off the motor.

This is after sanding it down

And this is the finished product...

There were a few parts that couldve been sanded a bit more to clean it up

not bad for your first one denny. i hope you used a high heat primer. these toyo vc's dont like str8 paint or thin coats of primer.
color is nice.
i think im finishing up number 8 for me now lol

How did you sand that? what machine did you use or by hand?
hey pete whats up? dont think ill be doing it again unless it gets messed up... lol
i used a cookie cutter on a die grinder for the casting imperfections, but it left swirls, so used a plastic wheel on a buffer, and it took most of the swirls out... then hit it with a 600 grit. shouldve gone 400 then 600, but oh well... lol... needless to say, it took me forrrreeeevvverrr... lol
i went with anodized blue, so in order for it to shine like it should, the vc had to be semi polished.
