Default Need help/advice on a sub enclosure for a tC

Whats up y'all

I just bought a 10' L7 and wanted to know if anyone has installed one in a tC or if anyone could recommend a box for me. I don't want it to take up all my trunk space and I don't want it visable to the outside. If anyone can give an opinion or tips, please it up the thread!

the great thing about l7's is that they don't require alot of room for correct operation..... try this
http://www.thezeb.com/p-SubZone-HV-1...ure-105376.htm

or get a sealed one with .66<1.0 cubic feet internally....

Dip it in chrome and mount it inverted with a few neon lights shining on it.

If you like sealed enclosures, you'll be ok with a tiny box. Make sure you pump a lot of clean power to it though. If you have a small amp, even if you won't admit to it, you might want to get a larger box, but then you lose cargo space. Otherwise, get a truck type box that will fit length wise on the side of the hatch area where the factory sub would go... buy some matching carpet to dress it and then get that elastic, cottony material that you can stretch out over the speaker hole... I don't know if it's made for speaker grills, but it's used so that your sound is as uncolored as possible...
get it to match the rest of the interior and you should be good. That would be incognito.

Small sealed, that's what kicker recommends for them, at least that's what they were originally designed for. Why would you go with anything else? I'd also recommend building or buying one built for your sub. True, it'd sound ok to buy a prefab generic box and slam it in there, but why? For that matter, you could buy one made for their sub from them directly.

Actually, looking at their site, looks like they have started making them that work in vented boxes, so either will be fine. Here's the link to the L7 boxes:

(If that's not a direct link, click on the products drop down, then boxes, then L7 box)

I want to get the trunk box that kicker puts out (I think its 2 inches too high to fit where I want it to, but I can adapt it to other places) but I can't find one without the sub with it. I don't trust the boxes that people make online, it just worries me that the box will be crap and get banged up in shipping. My buddy said I should fiberglass an enclousre, but I don't want to if I can get that box. Thanks for thw advice BTW...but one thing gets me...dipp it in chrome and add lights????? (even though I went with the 04 model cause of the blue (changing everything in the car to blue)
