Default NEED SOME HELP WITH MY SUBS AND AMP WIREING

I just got two 12 in. subs and a amp. First time trying to install a sub and i need some help.

I know that scion tc stock head unit doesent have rca outputs/inputs. so i had to purchase a hi/low rca adapter. Currently i have spliced the rca adapter into the rear speakers of the car, is that ok to do???

Also the speakers have a white and read wire, im guesing that the red is power, white is ground??

I also need to connect the amp to the signal of the head unit, any one know which wire that would be???

Thanks..

ok the blue wire... is the remote.. thats the one you tap to to run back to the amp...

Yes tapping the rears is the best way to do it. Make sure to run your power wire for the amp and your rca's for the amp on seperate sides.... dont know what kind of stuff you bought but you may experience noise in the system if you got cheap on the wires if they are next... plus its just good practice not to run them side by side

Also, if you pop of that plastic linear for right near the trunk it will allow you access to the screws that the trunk latches onto. Its a good ground source

Thanks for the info

However when i open up the head unit, there are two connecters on the rear, a large and a samller connector, the larger connecter has two Blue wires, which wire do i splice the signal wire into,

The larger blue wire is on the top row of the connector and the samller blue is on the bottom of the connector,

Also am i splicing the hi/low convertor to the right wires, on one side of the car, the rear speakers have two wires, a red and a white, and the other side has two wires which are brown and yellow, ???

Which is power and which is ground???

Yeah, I'm curious about this too....

Also where'd you guys run your power wire? Right along the side, or down the middle underneath theconsole? I'm curious which way is easier......

My power is down the drivers side all the way....

I was thinking the rear speakers in the tC were attenuated from the factory, meaning you would get more sound by going through the front speaker leads with the converter...

if you have a test light ground it and touch the blue wires... once when car on and then when off... I think its the smaller one... but dont quote me on that..
