needles not working

Hey guys, you know when you turn on your car and the needlesa to like a little self test, mine has stopped doing that. Does any one have any ideas what could have caused this?

yeah ther eare a lot of cool secrets that are in the car,most of them involve the stock stereo,mine says hello when car turned on,in writing,some neat little stuff,they should put in the manual.
