Dude this is a great idea.......in either CF or ABS.......I would buy one.........much cleaner look than the material........very nice

this would be nice, but expensive to produce. like nebster said, this will most likely cost hundreds of dollars due to all that CF.

I think to do that in ABS, it would have to be thick or have some sort of support on the underside. It would get warm and sag like a **** I think...

 

gotta be careful w/ carbon fiber too... poly resin needs to heat to fully cure, and majority of cosmetic panels use poly resin... poly can cure @ room temp, but it will take forever, as in weeks! if the panel is hanging while curing it will bow, and once it cures that's it...

if there's a smell to the panel it most likely has not fully cured... also w/ the curing there is a small degree of shrinkage w/ the resin, which could result in print-through... basically the weave coming through the resin...

I love it...but how about doing the radiator cooling plate w/ the CF to match those w/ CF engine covers? That'd be bad ___...
