nother battery
well, depends how/when u use ur system. if you blast it while u drive, get a high output alternator. even if you add another battery, it would strain your alternator. if the engine will be off, consider a slow discharge battery that lasts longer like a optima yellow top or oddysey. do some research if your changing the battery, i read somewhere that the yellow top=evil.
well what i fully meant was keep the system on the reg. battery and put the others on a battery in the trunk, cus it also looks wierd with like 8 wires going to my battery. and i have a capacitor

alright then i need help with q's. Ill keep ot with my battery but i want to get more neons so thatll mean another wire to my battery, that wont hurt right? also all this power being takin from the battery dont take power away right? With most my parts connected to the battery im usin really skinny 24 guage wire and with 2 out of like 9 things 12 guage, should i switch it all to 12 guage wire.? and one last thing , im gettin 3 more guages, thatll be 3 more wires to the battery will it still be alright and my firewalls full should i just drill another hole next to the firewall? thanks alot for the help guys much appreciated. peace
If you're using 12 gauge for your system you shouldn't be pushing high wattages.
If you drill a hole in your firewall:
a) be sure you don't hit anything on the other side
b) paint the edges of the hole to prevent rust
c) insert a rubber grommet like the ones already in the car so your wires don't rub against bare metal.
All that hooked up to your battery isn't going to hurt too much, but it has to be extremely messy. You wouldn't necessarily need a distroblock unless you want the fusing simplified. A barrier strip from radioshack would meet the needs for your 'neons' (LEDs ftw). Consider tapping into some existing power wires in your car for things not drawing high amperage.
