NRG Harness Bar installed?

anyone have pics of their bar installed or how you modified the B-pillar to work around it?

hmm, i know people on here arent putting cages in our cars, they arent needed, but is no one really safely running harnesses?

yeah garage 1217 is the only one that i know of off hand. I'm sure there were others (playinwithfire and others) but i'm not sure if they were ever posted.

There is jsut a small cut out for the bar to go through the pillar.guy up here has one and harness and it looks great and fits perfect.

i didnt want a roll cage, the tC has the 2nd strongest roof in production (can support over 4 times the weight of the car) so it seemed like overkill. and too impractical for DD with no plans to actually track the car....

i dont remember, i think it was a benz? i was looking into a rollcage before i decided on the harness bar and found an article about how they are trying to make it a mandate that ALL cars roofs can support atleast 3 times the weight of the vehicle, and only 8 (i think) vehicles currently meet that. ill see if i can find it again.

thats super shocking considering the roof on the tc is all glass. maybe thats because of the giant b and c pillars

well think about it dude, because the roof is all glass, the remaining supports would have to be overbuilt to compensate for it to begin with.... enjoy you nonrollover r approved beemer though. :p

i have alex's old NRG bar, but ive talked to him and he said he never installed it. i pmed garage but he hasnt gotten back to me. im in orlando so i dont know if ive even gotten the harness bar yet, i had him send it to my house in clearwater.... are you going to the lollicup meet sunday? if so i guess ill see you there and we can talk about it....
