I have mine attached to the child seat bracket and someone told me I should cross the harness.

 

Hmm... I have seen that before and could easily do that with mine. Not sure if it is a real recommendation or anything though - not saying it isn't, just haven't looked into it.

crossing your harnesses IS a good thing to do.

 

Here's a few pictures of the way I put my NRG harness bar in.. I also had talked to Mike at NRG and he told me I wanted to have the seat belts either even or higher than the back of the seat where the belts pass through, Since I did that I could not get the positions to line up. I did get everything to mount without buying anything extra though.

looks like your nrg type-r seats are abit to the side, had the same problem when i had those seats...too wide to fit in the tc.

 

Yea I want to get their carbon fiber racing seats this winter

 

What size in inches is the bar?

yeah IDK how much the NRG bar is from Nurspec, (great guys btw awesome service I highly recommend them.)

but NRG is just selling an over priced universal bar, You can pick them up on ebay for about 170shipped, in different colors too, I just got mine and it looks identical to the NRG one

mine finally came off 2 month backorder from NRG. not the greatest pic (took with my phone and panels aren't back in yet). will be switching to 4 pnt harnesses or the short ones sometime in spring. i'll see if i can get better pics tonight
