you should take off the shift boot, turn it inside out, take the ring off on the inside so that you can pop out the silver ring, then pull the shift boot up to the new ring on the mustang **** and reaply the ring on the inside.

hahaha im actaully waiting to purchase a short shifter... sooo im not actgually done wiht my interior quite yet..

 

yea bad idea.
i did what i told you today on mine.
and its a little to high for the stock boot so it got stretched and was kinda hard to put into gear.
then i was driving and it just popped off.
so mine gonna stay off for now too until i get my short shifter.

 

how do u take off the stock dash??i saw on ebay where u can buy the whole package and just snap it on????

 

yea its pretty easy to take it off, press the search button i think there is a diy on it
